In the summer of 2012, Jennifer Vellenga produced and directed Fashionistas: A Narcissistic Love Story by Janet Allard at Urban Stages in NYC. She directed the premiere production of The Motherline by Chantal Bilodeau at the New York International Fringe Festival 2009. She has been an Assistant Director on the Broadway production of Cymbeline (Lincoln Center), The Blonde, The Brunette & The Vengeful Redhead (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Dallas Theater Center), Compleat Female Stage Beauty (Old Globe), and Antony & Cleopatra (Guthrie). Regionally she has directed Medea (Circuit Playhouse), Quills (POTS @ The Works), and Deathtrap (Monomoy Theatre). She has directed several new play readings including Charles Smith's Knock Me a Kiss and the premiere reading of his play, Pudd'nhead Wilson. Other readings include Chantal Bilodeau’s Pleasure & Pain, and Finger Paint by Ross Evans and Erin Austin. University productions include The Music Man, The Crucible, The Adding Machine, Big Love, Baby with the Bathwater, Hello, Dolly!, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Electra, Tintypes, Goodnight Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet, and A Doll’s House. As a member of Actors' Equity Association, Jennifer (Guindon) performed as an actor and singer in New York, Chicago and as far away as China and Croatia. Jennifer is the Head of Acting and Directing at Kansas State University, and has taught workshops in New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Columbus, OH, and Miami. She received her MFA in Directing from Ohio University. She is an Associate Member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
